Joe Wallace graduated from Stanford University with an MS in Mechanical Engineering. He is presently the President & CEO of the Growth Alliance of Greater Evansville (GAGE), and Executive Director of Innovation Pointe, Evansville, Indiana’s high technology business incubator. Mr. Wallace was the founder and President of three different companies in the Data Storage segment of the high technology industry. These companies included ALP Engineering, Cambrian Pacific Technologies, and Pallace Technologies. Mr. Wallace also served as the President or General Manager of both Cambrian Systems and the Zygo Flying Height Test Division. Joe has authored or co-authored papers that have been published in both trade and refereed journals. He has also been the originator and/or manager of both patent and trademark portfolios for several companies.

Julie Gorman began working as an Administrative Assistant for the Evansville Small Business Incubator in March 1997. Throughout the years and as the concept of Innovation Pointe was developing, she took on many additional responsibilities that included overseeing all functions pertaining to the business tenants as well as provides office management support as needed. In June 2007, Julie became the Manager of Operations for the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville. Her responsibilities have expanded to include facilities maintenance for two locations, technical assistance for clients, management of special programs, as well as assisting in client attraction and selection. In addition, Julie oversees the property tax phase-ins for the City of Evansville and Vanderburgh County.

 

 

Elizabeth Anne Au

Elizabeth Au joined Innovation Pointe at the beginning of the summer, 2007. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Kentucky University in 2005 with a focus in Political Science and Communication and her Master of Public Affairs in 2007 from Indiana University, School of Public and Environmental Affairs. The past few summers, Elizabeth has done work for the Vanderburgh County Assessor’s Office, Barber and Shoulders LLP, and Strategic Development Group, Inc. Her most recent work was on the Southern Indiana Rural Development Project (SIRDP), where she researched and examined economic development issues facing rural areas in Southern Indiana. As a native of Southern Indiana, she is excited to be part of an organization focused on creating a positive impact on the Evansville area through business innovation and development.

 

Jocee Weaver

Jocee Weaver joined the Downtown Development Division of the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville (GAGE) in July, 2007 as Sponsorship & Events Director. In this role, she is responsible for coordinating the development, implementation, and execution of all Downtown Evansville events and oversees client relationships. Jocee has nearly 8 years of experience in the event management and marketing domains, previously working as Sr. Marketing & Client Relations Manager at KemperSports where she oversaw marketing and sponsorship fulfillment activity for the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational, the premier early-season college basketball tournament. Prior to that, she served as senior marketing manager for Verizon Communications’ national sponsorship department where she managed programs for the New York Mets, the Olympic Luge & Bobsled teams, and the Verizon Music Festival. Jocee received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

 

Mick Conati

As Vice President of the Downtown Development Division of GAGE, Mick Conati is charged with the task of revitalizing the fifty-six block area of downtown Evansville through organization, promotion, economic restructuring and design, and is directly responsible for all promotion and event budgets. Mick has over ten years experience in executive management level marketing and sales, with previous positions including Assistant General Manager & Director of Marketing & Sales at SMG Evansville and Director of New Business Development for the Executive Inn. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Southern Indiana and is a certified Public Facility Manager.  Mick sits on the Board of Directors for the Old Courthouse Foundation and the Alhambra Theatre; the Mayors Public Arts Commission, the Downtown Design Review Committee and the Steering Committee for the Indiana Business Diversity Council.

 

 

  Pam Martin

Pamela Martin is a native of Posey County. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and government studies at the University of Southern Indiana. Armed with a broad understanding of government structure gained in the classroom, she worked as a newspaper reporter covering national, state and local government and politics. She received several awards for her writing and reporting. Her interaction with government continued as she served as a registered lobbyist representing Evansville and Vanderburgh County business interests. She was active in efforts to develop effective economic development programs enabling Indiana to compete with neighboring states. Instrumental in the passage of riverboat gaming legislation in Indiana and Vanderburgh County’s referendum, she subsequently was named director of advertising and public relations for Casino Aztar Evansville, Indiana’s first riverboat casino. In that capacity she interacted extensively with government in economic development initiatives. She was the casino’s representative on the Downtown Evansville, Inc. executive committee and she was named to the Vanderburgh County Redevelopment Commission.
